our Feature in Shopify Capital's Case Study

Lights, Camera, Stitch

At eqpd, we’ve always believed in the power of making things locally, keeping our supply chain tight, and creating products that last. So when Shopify reached out about featuring us in a case study for Shopify Capital, we were honored—and a little curious about what the process would be like.

Filming took place right here in our workshop in Twisp, WA, where we design, cut, sew, and ship all of our bags. The Shopify team captured what a typical day looks like for us: from selecting materials to screen printing custom designs, all the way to packing up orders. It was exciting (and a bit surreal) to have cameras following our process, but it also reinforced what makes eqpd unique—our ability to pivot quickly, bring creative ideas to life, and work closely with our customers to make high-quality, custom-branded gear.

One of the biggest takeaways from being part of this case study was reflecting on how Shopify Capital has helped us grow. We’ve used it to fund special projects, like new artist series bags and bulk custom orders, allowing us to say “yes” to opportunities without disrupting our day-to-day operations. It’s one thing to hear about business funding in theory, but seeing it in action—on film, no less—made us appreciate how much it has helped us take eqpd to the next level.

We’re incredibly grateful to Shopify for sharing our story. You can check out the full video on Shopify’s YouTube channel and read more about our experience on their blog.

As always, thanks for supporting locally made gear. We’re excited for what’s next!
