Nature, Memory, and Print

A meeting of vibrant printmaking and everyday function.

MEET THE ARTIST

Khwanchira Nual Chindamanee is an American-Thai artist and printmaker whose work blends organic forms, bold patterns, vibrant color, and layered graphic composition. Inspired by nature, memory, material processes, and her Southeast Asian upbringing, her practice explores themes of impermanence, transformation, and the cycles of life.

Nual’s work is influenced by hup taem, a traditional style of temple mural painting from the Isan region of northeast Thailand. Her prints bring together natural imagery, contemporary composition, and symbolic storytelling, creating artwork that feels playful, expressive, and deeply rooted in place and process.

“Impermanence and transformation are the inevitable life forces that guide and inspire me.”
